Git information
Git can be a pain in the butt..but should work great and is free.
After you have git set up, you will need to fork from the repository. Instructions on how to do that are here: http://help.github. com /fork-a-repo/
The repository to fork is: //github. com /hsharp063/Data-Structures-Final
Currently the only file is the README so there isn't much to start with. I haven't dealt with merging on git yet, but I've dealt with it with similar tools at work so please let me know if you'd like help with that.

Re: Git information
Thanks, Frank for setting up the group on github! If everybody else can leave their user names in this forum I can add you to the group. I just created a repository on git hub we can use....you just have to create a repository on your local machine as well.

github
Darren, I'm assuming you are wetterld on github...if so, then I just added you as an owner of the repository So when there is code available (as of now it's only the read me) You will be able to 'fork' it or 'clone' it (either will work since your analyzing, not changing the code)

Repository
Ok, I was able to see the read me file and will be able to look through the code to determine its purpose for quality assurance.
Should be good to go now. Thanks Hilary.

HARDCORE FORKING ACTION
I just forked the main DSFinal/DS-Final github repo. The repo that you are sending everyone to hilary is your personal fork,
which technically will work but will not allow people to upload to the master repo. Here is a link that gives directions for
forking if anyone needs them htt p: //help .github. com/fork-a-repo. Hope this helps! Remove the spaces after copying the URL or it wont work.

Re: Git information
I did an initial push so now the project contains the default project files .... after you clone it to your Workspace folder, you can import it into Eclipse.
edit: My push exists as a fork to the main.....ReihnMan is trying to figure out how to reconcile that.

Quick HARDCORE FORKING UPDATE
After talking to Jason Dean about GitHub and Hardcore Forking, along with both Hilary and Jeff, we
determined last night that forking the repo will be inefficient and a major pain in the neck for the
developers and anyone else that needs access to the code. A new plan to potentially use branching from
the master repo is in the works and will hopefully be resolved and implemented by Monday or Tuesday of week 2.
